
David Lassman was born in Bath, England, and is a writer, consultant and teacher.
His writing career began as a columnist and arts journalist for local and regional periodicals, including the Bath Chronicle, Bournemouth Daily Echo and Big Issue South West.
After attending Bournemouth University as a mature student he graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Scriptwriting for Film and Television.
He is a frequent visitor to Greece and lived on the island of Symi between 2003 and 2006. It was while on Symi that he wrote the novel Freedom's Temple; a modern reimagining of the Theseus and Minotaur myth.
As well as running various scriptwriting and creative development workshops and courses in the UK and abroad, he co-runs the Bath Writers Workshop and founded the Bath Screen Network.
His bestseller The Art of Self-Publicity, based on David's own experiences, was published in April 2010 by Awen Publications.
David currently lives in Bath and is working on a television drama series based in the city with fellow scriptwriter and award-winning editor Terence James. |
